PRE-Stress is the main calculation program in the PRE-Stress Suite. It is possible to import geometry from, and export the results to IMPACT.

The program calculates regular and light weight concrete elements.

* Regular concrete:C12/15 - C90/105
[[image:1613051378218-458.png]]

* Light weight concrete class 1.0-2.0): LC12/13 - LC90/98.
[[image:1613051335885-493.png]]

* Custom concrete materials

The program also handles wet concrete as a pure load.

Dead load for regular concrete is 24 kN/m^^3^^. +1 kN/m^^3^^ is added if it is reinforced (any reinforcement is placed within the element perimeter) and another +1  kN/m^^3^^ is added if it is a wet concrete (unhardened). This means that a maximum density of a we unhardened concrete is calculated as 26 kN/m^^3^^. According to EN 1991-1-1, Annex A, Table A.1.

The light weight concrete has a density of 10-20 kN/m^^3^^ depending on the concrete class.

As for reinforcement both normal reinforcement and prestressing wires can be used in the calculations. The deadload of each reinforcementbar is not calculated, instead the dead load of the reinforcement is added as +1 kN/m^^3^^ (see extra loads for reinforced concrete above).

Reinforcement is divided into two categories:

* [[Regular reinforcement>>Regular reinforcement (PRE-Stress)]]
* [[Prestressing reinforcement>>Prestressing reinforcement (PRE-Stress)]]
